Sanchi Chandana – Education
After graduating from Tata Institute of Social science, one of the top premiere institute in India, Sanchi chose to come and volunteer in Gandhi Ashram. She did her thesis work in School curriculum and student teacher relationships in a school. For past one year she has been working very closely with Adolescent girls and Ashram shala children from the most backward part of society. She has been playing a very important role in bridging the gap between students and teachers and simultaneously creating an environment of love and sharing through various circles. Her love, dedication and sincerity is truly exemplary.
Devesh Sinha – Art/culture
29 year old Devesh always has been a seeker, in his path of spirituality, love and service. At a very young age he decided to be a monk and served for few years in Himalayas at various ashrams. With his sincerity he was offered to become the in charge of an ashram itself but then he chose to come to Gandhi Ashram, Ahmedabad to find other ways of service while living with the people. For a year he helped in Seva Cafe and now currently has been supporting Moved By Love Retreats. He is also a gifted artist withlove for cooking.
Diken Patel – Education / volunteerism
With a finance degree in education, but with a heart of gold, that’s Diken. Left his successful career in stock market very early in his life, his search for meaning in his work connected him to Ashram community. A full time volunteer now, he manages other volunteers and guests in Ashram. He too works closely with slum children through games and play. Every Saturday with a group of volunteers they visit Children’s hospital and do clowning for cancer patient children, bringing love and joy in both children and volunteers.
